A couple of yard finds while grilling out

I thought I would grill some hamburgers for dinner tonight. While doing that my oldest stepson wanted to use the detector in the backyard for a few minutes. Not even two minutes he digs what looks like an old spigot right beside our patio. My wife found the other ?? piece earlier...its the back off of something but can't quite make out what its supposed to be.
Anybody who recognizes what the spigot looking thing is, i'd appreciate the feedback!
