Doing some curb strips with the GTI2500.

The "Shell" tag is bronze (for car keys?). On the back it has a place for the owner to put a social security number for ID, so it can be returned if found. (Nobody would do that nowadays.)

The aluminum token has an elephant on one side and a bucking donkey on the other, with the words "MY PARTY". It has two small holes on its edge, at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions, like it was mounted in a small handle for spinning it. (For deciding how to vote?)

The Scottish terriers were about 4 inches down. The pennies are Wheat cents, and the old iodine bottle was about 3 inches down, in the hole with one of the pennies.

A good day, all the way.

I miss my 2500... what size coil you running ?

Always one Detector I wanted to try but never did.

Just running the standard 9.5-inch, because the curb strips around here have a lot of trees and bushes. In an open field, maybe I'd consider running the 12-inch.

Cheers,

Joe

I nicknamed my 2500 "quarter killer"... for its ability to pull quarters at serious sand depths on beach areas.

I had a setting (don't ask. long forgot)... that was sorta weird that seemed to attract quarters like a magnet to steel.
Hunted fished out park beaches and would pull well aged quarters that were missed.

Sold it... regretted it since.

I also liked the fact the pack can be belted.

Very nice finds, congratulations! :occasion14:
