I got out over the weekend and found some great things. I hunted a flat area at the bottom of a grassy hill along a sidewalk next to a road. Don't want to give away too much information about this spot.

First I found a nice Barber dime only four inches deep. Then moving along by the sidewalk I got another four inch signal, which turned out to be a pocket spill from around 1919, One beautiful Standing Liberty Quarter and a nice mercury dime, both dated 1919. There were also three wheat pennies dated 1917,1918 and 1919. The silver coins had some green stuff on them from being next to each other in the ground over 90 years or so. But I soaked them in lemon juice for 5 minutes and the green residue came right off.

Next I found a neat silver pendant apparently given to someone named Demer by someone named Lolly with a motto "Think Win, always enjoy." It's dated 17/03/92. Not known whether it's 1892 or 1992.

I'll see if I remember how to post pictures. Here's the Barber Dime:

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Extremely nice SLQ! Must have been dropped same year it was minted.

Those are excellent finds ! The SLQ. while not a low mintage coin, is still worth close to a $100. in that condition (easily EF-40 I think)
the Barber dime is no slouch either - I think you can safely assume that the pendant date refers to 1992 .

Great finds. Congratulations

Those are about as beautiful as dug coins get!

Wow!! The Barber and SLQ are very impressive. I am jealous. I bet you are one happy camper!!!! Congrats

yep, great silver, great coins, great condition, great find

oh man, that standing lib is out-standing-ly beautiful. wow! and that pendant thing, I'm certain based on the stamps and engraving font that it is 1992

That is awesome

Congrats on your beautiful silver coins! :occasion18::occasion16::wav::occasion16::occasion18:

Viewing your Standing Liberty quarter in triplicate is really cool. If it were mine, I might want to wallpaper an entire wall with multiple images, lol. :tongue3: Andi

Awesome coin finds..very nice condition...

Awesome coins.... excellent condition too. That spill was a really nice find. Congrats!

Nice! Super great detail on your silver!

Wow great hunt there! Bet you will remember it for a long time, hoping to find a SLQ similar someday also! Barber is nice also but SLQ in nice shape seems to be a really rare thing.
