Fierce fighters,they strip the drag and do not want to give up,I started fishing for them 3 1/2 years ago and that is the only fish I go for.Biggest out this way was 47# my biggest so far was 32#,I'm going again in the AM maybe I'll break the record.:laughing7:
 

Yeah in recent years they've gained a little respect as a sporting fish that puts up a good challenge to reel in.

There are several carp stores here in america,it is picking up as a sport..LETS GO CARPIN.:laughing7:
 

Yeah when I saw silver searcher posting his carp trophies and then go to says the carp is a protected game fish in GB, I had to see why on earth is what I've been always taught to believe is a trash fish is not so today. Read a few articles on the excitement there is in landing the big carp. I see some big ones jumping out of the lakes around here and even talked to some evening fisherman who were all about catching the big carp.
 

I have a bow fishing rig and go to the lake and stick carp occasionally. They do put up a fight. Gary
