Got out this morning for a couple hours. First good dig was a mercury dime and when I stuck my probe back in the hole, got another high tone and pulled out a second mercury dime. There was a small iron nail in the spoils pile so I guess that masked the dimes enough to keep them from being dug previously in this pounded park. Later on I added the 1903 Indian head cent and a nice 1919 Buffalo nickel to my keeper pouch. In the last 3 weeks I've dug nearly 30 older coins from this same park. Most from 1860-1870's. Wish there was some older silver to be found.

Nice job on the old coins. Love those Mercs.

Dang 30 old coins in 3 weeks seems there is plenty of life left in that pounded park! Congrats:icon_thumleft:

Nice finds.....maybe the older silver you mentioned is still there. Good luck if you go back there.

I must be in the wrong place to find any old coins like this.

You’ve definitely found good ground. I’m betting there’s old silver there, and I’m hoping YOU find it. Good luck!

Keep pounding! Hopefully there are some gold coin finds down the road.

Gotta love those old parks!! They’ve been my bread and butter this year!! Great job!!

Nice finds Ed, don't give up on the older coins yet, with your recent finds there's a good chance of some deeper signals in there. Good luck
