A Few Finds from the Weekend! Hunted an Historic Homesite built in the 1860's. Used My Garrett AT Pro with 5x8dd coil running Pro Zero and 3 Bars down on Sens because of all the Iron.

Nice finds! Nice crisp photo too....what camera/lens are you using?

Beautiful 3 ringer! I dug my first 3 of them the last two weeks and one of them was pulled.

Thank you Everybody! I dug that 3 ringer at about 10.5 - 11 inches with a nice solid tone and vdi was only jumping from 79-80... that was running Pro Zero with no disc and sens at about 3 bars down! Thats impressive folks! I test a lot of detectors being in this business and I can tell you some of the top end detectors would struggle with that!
John I was taking pics with my cell phone the new LG G2.

You got that 3 ringer at 11 inches with your 5/8 coil? Wow! Impressive.

I keep hearing more and more amazing finds with the AT Pro at amazing depths, which makes me even more happy to know I bought a great machine!! I keep hearing people bashing the AT Pro on other forums that Garrett introduced it too soon to the market.. blah, blah, blah,... Everyone was excited about the AT and after they bought one, were disappointed and that's why they are for sale all over ebay. So far my AT has been a great detector and I'm always glad to hear and see more great finds from other AT users.

Irishgoldhound, A lot of the people(not saying all) who bash the AT Pro and have it up for sale later are either brand loyal people, people that didnt give the AT Pro enough time to fully learn it or its just not there preference. Being in the business I get to test and use any detector I want(lol.. one of the luxuries of being a multi-line dealer..lol) and I am not pushing one brand over another or do I have a preference in brands. They all make great detectors or they would not be in business. Now, my honest opinion about the AT Pro is you cannot beat it for what it is! As you can see by my earlier posts I personally use the AT Pro and I personally use the Deus, CTX, etc... I have spent enough time on the AT Pro(100's of hrs) to where I feel confident that I can hunt just as good with it (probably better) than if I used my Deus or CTX etc.... A lot of people say they dig to much trash with the AT Pro(take the time to really learn it, listen to those tones(pro mode) use the features iron audio, notch, etc..) and you will not dig nearly as much trash. Others say the AT Pro doesnt get depth(understand what kills depth on a detector.. discrimination, not gb correctly, too much sens in trashy areas, etc..) The AT Pro gets superior depth for what it is and if you want more depth run pro zero, cut back on sens in those trashy areas and switch to the smaller coil(trashy areas), gb correctly and then manually lower it 5-10 notches, etc.... It comes down to preference though really, I like the AT Pro and it fits my style of hunting and preferences, I would go head to head with anyone using any detector and be confident with my AT Pro that I would do just as good as they could do! Im not saying im the best detectorist, because there is plenty of guys and gals that know their machines extremely well(which is the key to making good finds along with research of course) but if the AT Pro meets your preferences in a detector and you take the time to fully learn it you cant beat it for what it is. another example lets give you the latest and greatest so called top of the line $1000's detector and John-Edmonton his AT Pro... who do you think is going have a better day of detecting? In my opinion you made the right choice with the AT Pro Irishgoldhound, because it meets your preferences, you have learned it and its a great detector for you!:icon_thumright:

Totally agree TMD!! I would have to say the AT with its Iron audio feature alone, I could out hunt or keep up with guys with 1000$ plus machines, target for target. Probably not John E though. Lol.
