Hey T Net fans, I haven’t posted any finds in a good long while as I have only been detecting maybe 3 times in the past 2 years. Life and an injury just got in the way. I’ve been wanting to get back out there and have been doing a bunch of research on civil war activity around me.
The site I was on in the past couple days is a church property where they are building a new building on the lot next door of which had an early 1900’s house on it until recently.
Although not a lot was found here, I was happy to get a Union Officers general service coat button about ten minutes in and only my third target. I thought this was a great sign for things to come but I only found one other civil war item in the next two hours, a three finger. The button is pretty crusty but I’ll take any recognizable civil war items as they are my favorite to find.
Also in the pic is some clock parts, a decorative thread thing,rivets, eyelets, some unknown stuff, and some clad. Oh, the little belt looking piece has writing on it that say POLICE BRACE, and has decorative initials in the middle of it. Anyone have a clue on that one? Good to be back out even though the humidity has me looking like I just got out of the shower within ten minutes of hunting. Stay tuned for good stuff on the way as I think I’ve found a secret weapon to get on good properties.
