Not a lot of great items but probably some OK profit to be made. Here are last week's pickin's:

The above is a motor drive Konica camera. Unfortunately, I didn't spot a broken piece until after I paid $40 for it. The small lens on the camera should bring about that much. The larger lens is an off-brand that might bring $30. Not sure about the flash attachment. I doubt if I will get anything out of the camera body.

The slides are very unusual. These are 2 1/4" format instead of 35mm. The box is labeled "Bermuda 1954" and there are some very interesting shots. Hard to tell what price they might bring but the frames alone are worth maybe $20. I paid $4 for them.

The Stanley plane is a bit rusty but otherwise in very good condition. The wood handles on these old tools are usually broken but these are completely intact. Brand new, this tool brings about $250. In this condition, maybe $50.

A cute little cast iron pig with bell. Paid $5. Might bring $20 - $30.

Nice buys. Thanks for sharing...

The best item in this lot is the cast iron pig/bell, IMO.

You are dreaming on the plane unless it is in super nice condition.

The plane is one of the largest models. With a little work, it would clean up nicely and be a very functional tool or a nice collector piece. I have seen this same model in similar condition sell on ebay in the $40 - $50 range. Take a look, for example, at the following sold item:

Antique Bailey Stanley Tools No 5 1 4 Wood Jack Plane 11 1 2" Fr SHIP w Bin | eBay

So I don't think I am too far off in my estimate but we shall see. This model plane in nice condition sells for around $100 with some well above that amount.

I like the pig bell, too, and he should do pretty well. I will be intrigued to see if there is any interest in the Bermuda slides. Somebody may be interested in them just for the mounts. Several months ago, I bought two boxes of 35mm metal frame/glass cover slide mounts. They sold quickly for, I think, $20 each. The 2 1/4" format is much less common than 35mm but some very high-end cameras used this format so there might be some interest. There are also people who collect vintage images so there may be some interest in 60 year old color pics of an exotic location like Bermuda. It will be interesting to find out. I hope to list them this week.

Nice find on the Stanley 5 1/4.

An unusual find out in the wild. Most of the time, all I see are #4's. I did luck into some hard to find Stanley planes last year in fantastic condition.

How is the blade on your 5 1/4?

Does it have a corrugated sole?

Yes, it has a corrugated sole. I haven't really inspected this plane closely yet so I'm not sure about the blade. I did notice there were wood shavings stuck in the blade opening and I haven't cleared them out yet to get a good look at the blade. Hopefully there aren't any major nicks in the cutting edge. As you can tell from the pic, it is pretty dirty and a little rusty. I'm not sure just how much cleanup I want to attempt on it. I will certainly clean off the surface dirt but I'm not sure I want to get very aggressive in attacking the rust. If anybody has any suggestions on cleaning this plane up I would be most grateful.

Just a quick (and surprising) update. I finally got the Bermuda slides listed on ebay last night. I had no idea what to ask for them because I couldn't find any 2 1/4" format transparencies or metal frame mounts to compare them to. Prices for 35mm slides were all over the place so that wasn't any help. I finally decided to ask $30 (that is 10 times what I paid for them). I also had a hard time deciding whether to list them in the film photo equipment or collectible photo images category. I went with collectible images. By this morning, the auction has had 4 views and a bid for $30. I thought $30 was a stretch but, obviously, I was wrong. Curiously, the bidder's ebay name is "bdafan" - BermuDA perhaps?

Nice, I like the pig also. That may be a hidden money maker. Use bacon in the listing. yumm!
