Detector(s) used
Garrett Ace 250
We're relatively new to the board, been lurking some and haven't found anything worth mentioning as of yet. We bought a Garrett Ace 250 about a month ago and have been having fun with it at local parks, schools, etc. We've found a fair amount of clad, some kids jewelry and 3,406 pull tabs (give or take of course). :)

Here's what we found today at Payne Lake Recreation Area in Alabama (minus the nails, pull tabs, beer cans, etc):
House Key, Bobby Pin, Diamond Stud Earring (doubt it's real), .22 bullet, a copper and yellow colored bottle cap (still trying to determine what drink it was), and a key from a sardine can.

Welcome to the other side. There are no insignificant finds in the would of treasure hunting best of luck in all your hunts.

Hello, & Welcome to the forum...
Atleast you got a good start on some extra battery money... ;D
Also, if you find enough of them keys, they make for a good wind chime...
Any day you can get out to hunt, is a good day..
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Nice sardine can key and welcome to Tnet! If that Diamond studded earring is worth while, there should be a small stamp on the stud itself, might need a magnifying glass to see it as they can be small. Clad is always a good find as well. HH, Mike

That Ace 250 will bring up the goodies for you. I'm learning more about mine every time I use it and I got it for Christmas. Good finds!

Insignificant? I think not! ;)

In fact... I think you may have solved the entire mystery!! 8)

There is an old story...

Silly Sarah and Danger Joe had taken the house key along with the entire bag of gold coins and started running when the farmer came out and saw them. Joe used a bobby-pin to break into the box that held the last can of sardines and thier only bullet! Joe tried loading the bullet and Sarah dropped her earning in all the exitment while digging a hole to bury the gold. They barely got the gold hidden when the farmer caught up with them and scared them so bad Joe dropped the bullet and bobby-pin & Sarah dropped the house key she took, and they started running away. The farmer ate the sardines, and dropped .33 cents on the ground when he reached into his pocket to get a yellow bottle cap which he tossed on the ground to mark the spot where he needed to dig to get the gold. The farmer turned around and was hit by lightning.

Nobody ever knew where that all took place... ::)

Maybe someday... maybe...

Welcome & HH,

Nice finds...

I don't think you have those "insignificant" finds. Getting out and enjoying your finds is what its all about. Silver and gold are not every day finds so enjoy what you dig and have fun doing it!! Congrats on the goodies!!
