Savannah is one of our favorite old towns. I was stationed at Parris Island in Beaufort, S.C. from 76-79 and spent a lot of weekends there. Beautiful town with a lot of History. What town are you from? I'm from Covington, Ga. in Newton County. We are about 40 miles east of Atlanta. I wish we were a Lot Further Easy of Atlanta. The crime mecca of the South.

yeah,I'd like to get down that way when it cools off some. I'm about an hour an a half just up I-16 near Dublin,Ga. So that wouldn't be a problem.

I’m in Pembroke Ga. Its about 30 minutes west of Savannah on I-16.

Yes, I know where Dublin is. I retired from the Dekalb County Fire Dept. back in 2006. We had a brother who was about to retire who had a farm in Dublin. I saw him not too long before he was to retire and I asked him what he was going to do once he retired. He replied that he was going to piddle around on the farm and play with his tractor. Tragically he was killed on his tractor just weeks short of his retirement. He was one of the nicest and most sincere Firefighters in the Dept. His sudden and tragic death devastated our Dept. He was a great guy.

Very nice assortment of relics. I like em' all, but the clay pipe bowl is a standout.
