They aren't recent enough for the my finds section, so I thought I'd post a few of my favorite things I've found in this thread.
This was my first day with the detector. Surprisingly enough the very first thing I found was a modern penny!
A horse shoe and two weirdly tiny rail spikes!
The inside of a pocket watch?
Some weird bits, a silver mica capacitor (no wonder it rang so high) and (I think?) a horse hame.
Not one, but two pocket knives!
The token whose google search led me to these forums to begin with!
Pocket knives are nice, but how about a gun?! A cap gun...but still!
A really weird looking fossil?
And probably my favorite so far, this cool "Captain School Safety Patrol" badge.
A lead fishing weight found nowhere near water?
A crayfish who, I'm assuming, knew a little too much, and it lead to it's demise?
And some of the earlier non bottle finds from my bottle dump!
