✅ SOLVED A lid or cover for something , maybe

This item is a tad bigger than a half dollar....... Brass ... found in a field where CW relics have been found .... also there were houses here from 1840 till around 1965 ........... very ornate details on the front , with a slot for something ............ Thanks for any help !!!
