Mary and I headed out to detect. She said it was my choice, so we went back to where I found the V nickel. It's a little street that has grass median in the road. So we detected the other half of the median that wasn't done before. Mary was finding clad and junk. I was finding clad, copper fittings, lead, and other junk. Swung over a patch that sounded good, didn't really look at the numbers because I was finding so much junk, dug it up and found this little gem.

It's a JHW Newark NJ brass padlock. Boy was I surprised! It made my day
I'm going to clean it up so it looks like this.

Any tips on what to clean it with? Or tips on how to open this little guy?
