I stained the silver coins using liver of sulfur to highlight the vines around the coin. Something new this year......going to have to work on it.

Hi John, liver of sulphur is a stinky and messy way to obtain your desired effect. I make a lot of silver jewelry and do a lot of black background patina work myself. I use a liquid made for that purpose from Rio Grande jeweler's supply in Albuquerque NM, which is a good source for all needs in making jewelry of all types. Your rings are very cool by the way!!
