A little help guy's Panama City Or Pensacola Fl

anyone hunt Panama City Fl this time of year? wife and are thinking about going there for Xmas this year.are the beaches open to MD? where would be the best places? spring break area i guess? looks like motel is $80 a night.i could drive a motor home but i here the camp grounds are $75 a night,might as well stay in motel! any help would appreciated as iv not been there in 18 years. thanks. Dixie Digger,

I've never been that far north in FL. I've never had any probs detectin public beaches from Tampa to Naples & South Miami to Daytona. If I were visitin Panama City, I wouldn't feel shy about detectin public beaches. 8)

Digger, I understand that Johnson Beach in the Pensacola Area is the Best Beach to MD! Also Garner Beach in Ft. Walton Beach!
I personally have not Hunted either!

I detect the beaches from Panama City to Pensacola ( about 110 miles of sugar-sand beach )---no problems ! No rules against detectors. Beach patrols & cops don't even give you a second glance. Go for it & ENJOY !!

digger Fla has some great camp sites for your R.V. cheep too 20 bucks with hook ups and showers look em up on the net while your there the ranger will tell you where you can M.D. in the area mike in Atlanta

I don't know if you checked with St. Andrews State Park in Panama City, but they might have cheaper rates for the RV and it's a nice park.

Panama City is a ghost town this time of year except for Canadians. There is definately a lot of beach there though so you might find something. Try it around Edgewater Beach Resort. Spinnakers and Club La Vela are two huge clubs on the beach that are popular during the season, you might hit something there that's hasn't been found. Also Montego Bay is a pretty good place to eat and not too pricey if you like seafood.

If you're looking for a beach that has more traffic this time of year to improve your odds, you might want to look into the Destin/Ft. Walton area. It's not far from Pensacola either so you could go there also.
