Not Gold it has a calcite build up on it probably melted brass. Or possibly native silver.

First I would test that with a magnet. Also, not saying it can't be gold or silver, but I see what looks like some bluish color on the rock, so the metallic minerals could be chalcopyrite, bornite, or that sort of thing. But to find that in Nebraska, now that is interesting.

Does it have any weight to it ? or is it feather light?
