After about a two week hiatus, I was finally able to get out this morning for a three hour hunt. The first two hours produced very little..a couple of musket balls, two MTA tokens, and three pennies..not much to write home about.
At about the 2.5 hour mark, I hit a solid signal on a sunny, West- facing hillside. This proved to be a lovely 1888 Seated Liberty dime.

After 15 minutes more , I came across another solid signal, with a VDI in the 70's. After a gentle extraction, out popped a large copper. This is my first for the 2019 season, so I was quite happy. With some cleaning at home, I believe its a King George II half penny. Diameter= 28.3 mm. Weight= 9.7 grams.

All in all, a very pleasant February morning in the woods!
