After 2 weeks of working on my home I was getting metal detecting fever. I tried a new permission first and expected to need help hauling all the silver home, but alas only a few Memorial cents, 2 wheats and lots of junk. I then went to an old standby and did somewhat better, 3 wheats, one 1944 merc, and a couple of other odd things the Nuff Stuff item I think is a brass button off an old coverall? The other I have no Idea but it is marked Campus. Also found some clad dimes, a nickel, what I think is an old ointment tin, and more Memorial cents. All in all a fun day.

I did a little research on the button with Nuff Stuff on it and found out that it was a company in Johnstown, Pa that was in business in the 1920's. They sold coveralls and a large line of other clothing.

Nice finds! Great silver Merc! Congrats!
The campus thing may be a zipper pull.

Reality is doing a poor job of keeping up with my expectations too! I'm still hoping to find gold.

2 weeks, that's way to long for me. Looks like you got a good fix. Always nice to pull a silver. :headbang:

Thanks for the info on the Campus thing. As I look at it, it appears that you are correct.

JOHNCO NICE OLD TIN AND ZIPPER PULL.

Two weeks is way to long not to be swinging, 3 days and I'm pulling my hair.

Glad you pulled some silver...

I have been eyeing up a yard for a few years, finally saw a for sale sign, stopped and got and easy permission. It's a huge green yard in the centre of a small town. Turns out it was bulldozed and backfilled...I found two lousy pennies.

Good job on pulling some nice finds out of your old faithful spot!

Great finds - two weeks is nothing - i swung my MD for the first time today in 2 years and 2 kids!!

I also have been eying up a yard for some time and just yesterday got permission. The home is over 100 years old and appears to never had any backfill or yard work. Hoping for the best.
