So I hit a fairly new park I didn't even know existed until yesterday, simply because I had very little daylight left.
I was hunting around a pavilion that yielded mostly trash and a bit of clad but then I dug the hole, and looking up at me from the dirt was...
THIS GUY:
Here's the back:
It has some type of bendable clip inside but it's not long enough to go around a finger. I'm assuming it was attached to something at some point. I hunted for more pieces but there were none to be had.
It may be part of a ring. If it is, it would be ring lucky # 13.
It's kinda' creepy for number 13 but it's still cool. If anyone has any ideas as to what it is exactly, I'm all ears.
It actually made me laugh out loud the way it was lookin' up at me from the hole; which made it a fun hunt. Oh, I believe the eyes and teeth are made of genuine glass (or maybe even real acrylic!). It's actually one of my new favorite finds for some reason.
As for the past weekend, nothing noteworthy. I hunted the school where I found my 1st LC and Civil War token. I found a cool 2006 Matchbox Spiderman Mobile and another key ring that's marked "NOT FOR CLIMBING". Anyone stupid enough to use it for climbing deserves to fall imo.
There's also my 2nd Master lock dial, a Pier 1 Imports Metal tag, a knob off of something or other and another silver plated pendant with more tiny glass stones. Once again I thought I scored something real and was disappointed. Oh well.
That's one more step toward the next great find. The journey's half the fun right??
I also got a ton of clad; about 6 bucks worth, but I didn't bother taking any pics. It just doesn't excite me anymore unless it's old or valuable. Plus, I'm tired tonight.
