A military button, some coinage and an old brooch and buckle.

I stopped by at a park today and picked up a few moderns, but I was soon itching to find some old stuff, so I headed to my old site that I've hammered.

I still managed to find a few keepers, including a One Penny, an old what I think is a brooch and buckle, and my third N.S.W general service militia button General Service button : New South Wales Military Forces | Australian War Memorial



I didn't think I'd ever find any military buttons in my little corner of the world, but I've already got a nice little collection going.

I've found some of those 'Crown over VR' buttons. Looked at the site, & I can't work out if these were General Service & used on lots of different Regiments or just the NSW?

I'm thinking they were generic and used in many other commonwealth regiments, I'm not sure if the first one I found was identified solely on the location found, or other reasons.
