While hunting a park today, I ran across this really weird signal set, but it was super shallow. Once I pulled the grass back, I discovered quickly why it was weird. Initially, I thought it was a bunch of gold dollars and possibly some SBA's, but figured out pretty quickly, when I pulled them, that they were all foreign. To have so many in a stack from different places was weird! I'm thinking someone gave a kid a handful of foreign coins and they ended up either neatly falling out of a pocket, or were placed down and forgotten.
They literally were in a nice neat stack laying flat on the ground. I didn't know there was a holed coin until I spread them apart. Pretty fun. I have lots of them, though, from Japan and other places I've visited for work, so it's not a really big deal to have another, but it was still a fun find! My favorites are the two dollars from Australia. Those, I DIDN'T have.
