I have been a collector for most of my adult life, more than six decades now. Somewhere in my past I picked up this bronze casting. I can't remember the where or when of it. Some how this thing has stuck with me through a divorce from hell and all that has happened since. At this point in my life I am whittling down the things I possess, this being one. It's heavy and seems to be made by a real artist but what do I know.

Approximately 6" by 6" - I have owned this for 20 years

I seek your knowledge - Is this valuable or junk - Do you know the artist?

I have no idea either but, in my experience, anything modernistic and cast in bronze which has any artistic importance and value will have a signature on it somewhere. It may be on the edge, or very small, and may just be a monogram. Have a really good look with a loupe because on intricate pieces it can also be buried in the design. It might even be this (sideways, on the throat) but I can't be sure from the picture if those are letters or not:
