✅ SOLVED A mystery relic.

I found this relic in a homestead that dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900"s. It's two and a half inches long and an inch at the widest point. It had a two inch Long piece of iron on the bottom. Does anyone have an idea what this went to. Thanks for any help.

I don't know how you came up with that but I like it. Here are a couple of of ornate brass pieces that I found near it. I haven't found my piece in searching the web but you may be right. Thanks for your help.

Could that be a part to one of them circle drawing dodads , it makes me think of one . slide it on a small wood beam and tighten the thumb knob where you need it and put the pin in the hole ,if you had one to match it ,thats what i would use it for. just a wild guess.
