Talked to a guy yesterday who is redoing some of the old buildings in Calvert, he loved the idea of treasure hunting the sights and has a floor already tore out ;D. some of ya'll may remember me checking out a old bar with the same sinerrio (I brought home 15.00 in clad in a couple hrs, but that gentelman was not cooperative.)
Well in thisone, we dug 3 silver dimes at least one is a 1903 Barber the others arent cleaned so we dont know, 3 Nickles one is 1897 the other 1902 the third I dont know yet some undated indians a few Clads, and this, my first Big silver this old, also found a Ivory die (or half a dice),a very cool item) I am letting him have the finds and he was quite a good sport, He also owns a few other properties with this type history (hes from england and keeps saying "Brilliant") I plan on hitting this one all weekend so stay tuned,I hope to get some pics of more of the stuff, this is looking like fun.

Re: A new Calvert silver sight NEW PICTURES

I am still cleaning up the coins I have about 30 early 1900 and late 1800 coins plus some neat bottles, the owner has many more properties that the floors are about to be removed from, All these coins were found by sifting and metal detecting in about 6 hrs, this place is loaded.

Cool stuff. I will never forget when I was 18 in Waynesburg PA I was a volunteer helping restore an old log cabin (1995) and the floor was up so my job was to sift through the soil to see what was left. I found my first giant penny. It was from the early 1800's. I am jealous that you have more to explore.

That looks like a very productive site! Can't wait to see more pics.

BRrrrrrrrrilliant, Tex!!
(will you get to keep ANYthing??)
What fun either way- ENJOY!- and HH
