First of all I would like to thank everyone for all the responses on the first post. I have only joined this forum recently and I am amazed at how nice everyone is here! Well I went back to the old house in the first post where I found the compact with the coins in it today, as I was too busy to get over there on Saturday. It looks like they probably pushed it over sometime Saturday and graded around where it had stood. I took the camera to get more pics but left the memory card in the card reader on my computer! Doh! Heres the original house pic if you did not see the first post:
Now it is just a flat spot of red clay where the house was. I hunted around the area for a while and found several more coins and assorted stuff:
Here are some of the better pieces of "stuff"
lipstick tube, valve stem cover, hose nozzle,a timex that couldn't take a lickin, key ring, a spoon that seen better days, and a car ornament that says Pontiac 8.
Here are the coins minus a few memorials and clad I had already threw into the clad jar:
They are:
Washington quarter 1953D (a little beat up)
Roosevelt dimes 1949 and 1961
Mercury dime 1942
Wheat cents 39,41,45,51,51D,51D,52
I am sure they probably graded off more stuff but I was fortunate to get what I did. From start to finish this site was only detectable for 3 days, it would have been easy to miss as there are no indicators that there was a house there now, just a flat graded spot on the side of the road. Thats why I always carry a detector in my truck,as the windows of opportunity on construction sites can be very small.
