Hello! I am relatively new to the hobby of metal detecting. Thanks to some hard core lurking on this forum I got off to a much better start then I would have without it. Probably the biggest advantage it gave me was having a realistic expectation of what I would find 95% of the time. Secondly research and how to find a good site. Those tools have allowed me to find lots of old relics, 1 1863 IHP, a British Royal Navy Officers button Circa 1890-1901, and a sterling silver bracelet I beleive to be around the same age. Thanks to everyone for all the helpful posts and the great forum provided here!
