Weird day on the sand. Went down to a kiddie bech this afternoon for about an hour, and had a couple unplanned thrills.

First was a random buffalo nickel from 1920 something. On this heavily detected small beach, it was definitely a shock.

Then I found myself digging a strange but good signal. From the side of my hole there was a strap sticking out, so I figured I was about to dig my first shoe. Well... as I pulled, out popped a little patent leather purse! The zipper was corroded shut, so I popped it in the jacket for inspection later.

Back at the Jeep I decided I better open the purse before I got home. There was either going to be a couple kids toys in there, or this was going to end up being some hookers handbag, and full of drugs and $100 bills... Which my wife would not let me keep!

The photos tell the story:) image.webpimage.webpimage.webp

Yes those are bunny hair clips and coins so thin and corroded you can hardly tell what they are. Maybe next time!

Good luck hunting!
