4M minted; 3.24 grams of bronze. Series (called "mature head") lasted from 1876 (your coin) to 1901. Retail value several years ago was $2.75 in VG-8, $4.00 in VF-20; and $7.00 in EF-40. Mint mark "H" is for the Heaton mint in Birmingham, England.
Much more info here: http://www.calgarycoin.com/modern/cdcent.htm

Hello cousins! I've found this 1876 large penny (H mint mark) in Illinois and was wondering how common are they? Any other info would be appreciated.

My very first pre-1900 coin in 2002 was one of these. Brings back fond memories!!

1876 is not worth much
better dates examples are 1858 1907 and 1911
