A Silver Earring Today

Today I went to a North Shore beach to take advantage of the minus low tides. On a couple of occasions, I've found silver coins in the wet sand. However, today no silver coins were to be had. But, I did come up with a lone silver earring. It looks quite old and it's stamped sterling on the back. Have a look.

Thanks Silvermonkey. The beach it came from is on what is known as Long Island's Gold Coast. It might be very old but I don't think it was in the water that long. It was in very good condition and it cleaned up very quickly.
