Hey folks!
Getting my last couple hunts of the 2019 season in this weekend. It’s been a really fun year. I’m looking forward to doing my year end wrap up soon.
I got out for a few hours this morning to a spot I spied on Google Maps last week while out hunting. Turned out to be a good little spot!
My second hit of the day was the Cracker Jack Token at 2 inches. I was happy to get another war nickel too. I seem to have found a good amount of those recently. It’s so strange to me how they seem to have no consistent tone on the CTX. Sometimes they ring between 12.11-12.13 and other times like 12.22-12.24. It’s bizarre. I just have to be in a good mood for digging low tones if I want to have a shot at finding them.
My favorite highlight of the day is the Canadian Large Cent. Perhaps not a super valuable coin but I love old Canadian coinage and rarely find it. I’m super happy to have it. Anyways, here’s the complete haul and tally!

-43-S War Nickel
-1915 King George V Canadian Large Cent (only my second Canadian Largie ever!)
-John Quincy Adams Cracker Jack Token
-Marble
-2 Canadian Young Liz pennies
-12 wheats (oldest are 30-S and 37).
- A piece of an old kid’s cap gun
-What I believe are the mangled remains of a toy car
Thanks for looking as always folks, I really appreciate it and all the support and love from the TNet community.
