Hello,
I went back to the house where i found two old pocket spills. I hit the back yard, but to my dismay, it was filled with trash and clad. However, I got a big hit and dug down, and down, and down, and i saw a lid. However, there was nothing beneath it- after two feet of digging.
Then, I found a small corner of the yard with little trash and got a wheaty, then i got another it a few yards away and dug down and felt the crunch of crushed metal. I dug it up and saw hotels and knew I screwed up some neat piece of memorabilia. Fortunately, I was able to more or less staighten it out and put it back together. It turned out to be a Statler hotel match holder (I think) which I can date to 1915-1917, which is only a few years after the house was built. I am pretty much done with the house, except for the veranda. It is pretty good sized and i can crawl under it- do you think it is worth it to try MD'ing it?
