Hello,

I went back to the house where i found two old pocket spills. I hit the back yard, but to my dismay, it was filled with trash and clad. However, I got a big hit and dug down, and down, and down, and i saw a lid. However, there was nothing beneath it- after two feet of digging. :-\ Then, I found a small corner of the yard with little trash and got a wheaty, then i got another it a few yards away and dug down and felt the crunch of crushed metal. I dug it up and saw hotels and knew I screwed up some neat piece of memorabilia. Fortunately, I was able to more or less staighten it out and put it back together. It turned out to be a Statler hotel match holder (I think) which I can date to 1915-1917, which is only a few years after the house was built. I am pretty much done with the house, except for the veranda. It is pretty good sized and i can crawl under it- do you think it is worth it to try MD'ing it?

looks good, maa will never know.nice pics

Yes, I think it's worth it. Like going under a vintage bar floor with real wood slate flooring. All sorts of things get stashed under there and dropped through the cracks and forgotten.

Definately go underneath the house if you can. Stuff falls threw, and kids play under places that are cool in the summer, and where adults don't go. Hope it pays off for you.

update: they are repairing it this summer which means no crawling around for me 8)
