A Tip

I'm not sure this is the right spot...but I never really thought about this until the last few days. I have a new site to hunt with hopefully some great potential. I don't know much about the location or area (yet). I know a few people that go out and hunt so I was talking to them about old foundations/houses and asked each of them if they ever see any in the woods to let me know. My friends father said he knew of one that was "built of stone" but was very small. So he told me where it was and who owned it. I asked the land owner for permission (including the fact I know the hunter that has been hunting on his property for years) and he gave me permission. I went through the woods with my friend and found a very small stone building....and I'm talking like a one room the size of a bathroom type of thing so there may or may not be very much potential, but either way point of the story is ASK HUNTERS!!!!!

Great tip. I had a hunter tell me about a site one time. I got permission and my partner
and I hunted the site. We had to drive through 2 creeks and a couple of field to get to
the site. But it was well worth it. I know we found many IH's and I think we both
pulled out a half dime apiece. I even found a 6 pound cannonball. Can't wait to hit the
site again in the spring.
