✅ SOLVED AAA badge info

I can't seem to find a match for this badge/plaque. Heavy brass with enameling. Says California Automobile Club Inc and Pioneer in slightly smaller letters. The emblem in the middle says Great American Automobile Association. Any info on year and use? It looks different than the way license plate toppers I've seen attach. This one just has two small holes....one on each side.

Further research indicates this badge is from the 1920's. Can anyone verify?

I'm not sure of the year, but it's definitely pre-WW2. I think the early ones attached to the grill instead of the license plate.

they are only Listed in Cali Newspapers as "california Pioneer Auto Club" 1926 to 1928 So 20's is Probably accurate

May have been Bought out By AAA
