Abbreviation on 10 Pence Coin

A couple of months ago I found a 1999 10 Pence coin in a local park. D.G. Reg was clear, Dei Gratia Regina. But F.D. was not. This abbreviation is in the dictionary, FD = Fidei Defensor = defender of the faith.
