Was going to take the weekend off, but then decide the Vicious Circle,
of 2 days Exercise Going to waste if I Loaf for 2 Days. so in spite of it being in the 90's,
I went to the Only Park with Shade, Un-mowed grass, & most likely to be empty on a weekend. figuring I'd spend 20 minutes getting there and 20 minutes detecting :laughing9:

in spite of my reckoning, I lasted 45 minutes and if not for he rain,
am confident I could have lasted an hour. maybe more. :O
My Back was in rare Form.
But of course The Rain & Thunder Convinced me to Ignore the Last High Tone Signal,
and make a Straight Line to the Car.
Right Choice, I Put the Detector in The back & The Clouds immediately Opened wide :(

no digging required, just the detector and my eyes.

an Advertising Thimble, I Didn't Recognize till I dumped my Finds here.
When I dug it, I thought Hunk of Lawnmower Shrapnel

The more you get out the better your going to feel. I'm glade you lasted as long as you did. Hope you don't pay for it to much tomorrow.

Sure glad you got out! :icon_thumleft:

My Back was getting Very sore while Composing this original Post.
Once I was done I Laid down for about 30 Minutes.
Not too Bad Now.

Only got one Oxycodone Left.
am trying to Hold on to it in case I get so sore I can't get Relief without it :laughing7:

That's my wife's family's stomping grounds. Do you know any Bosak's or Cox's?

Not Personally, But the Bosak Name is familiar enough to say I may have in the Past.

I know a couple of Bosak's from New ringold...

Maybe someone should make an umbrella for metal detectors that some how clips on the shaft, so the detector does not get wet---- as long as you don't get any lightning strikes. Not what you want with a metal detector and get struck with 1,000,000 volts of current from mother nature, right on! HAPPY HUNTING

only if you have a 1,000,000 volt Battery that needs a Charge :coffee2:

I feel for you. My back is toast too. I can only last one hour at a time detecting, then it's face down on the bed for an hour or so till the pain lets up. Good luck to you. Gary

Nice to see you getting out more Jeff. Don’t know you personally but by looking at your profile you’ve dug a lot of holes over the years. Your posts and likes count are proof of that. I’m sure you would have stayed a little longer if it weren’t for the rain. Take care and congrats.

I can't Figure where Mine came from.
I always got a sore back from my detecting buddy harness pulling down.
But I used to be able to last 2 Hours, even 3 hours on occasion.
however since My Bypass surgery it seems my Back took the punishment.

Thursday & Friday I switched to the Swingy Thingy Harnass with no real improvement.
Yesterday I Installed it Backwards & it worked :tongue3:
Could only make short swings & The Strap kept Falling off my Shoulder ,
was even uncomfortable. but my back didn't seem to mind at all :dontknow:

Today If I can get out Before the Rain, Maybe Spring Glen looking for more pigeon
bands and trainers. :tongue3:

of Gratz haven't decided yet.

Am still 0 on the Silver for the 2nd Year in a Row :(
I couldn't have cleaned it all Out :tongue3:

Jeff,
If you haven't tried this, try it. I put it on the place that gets sore before hunting and after. And as Johnny Bench says,"You won't stink". It really works.
I get it at Wal-Mart. 20180819_085536.webp

Love that thimble Jeff. Also I agree with Rook, that blue-emu is some good stuff, it really seems to help my back and knees as well. That "Australian Dream" stuff works pretty good also. Take care... "D"
