Ace 150 on wet beach?

Freshwater yes, saltwater no. They will work for very shallow targets with lower sensitivity but the chatter will drive you mad in saltwater.
 

Any entry level detector will be so-so at best in wet sand.....only machines that do well in that environment are multi-frequency machines (ex. Etrac, Excalibur, Sovereign) or a PI machine (ex. Sand Shark, Infinium).....even the mid priced machines like the AT Pro, F75, etc. do not perform well at the beach in the wet sand. Dry sand any machine will do.....

My advice is if you want to stay at a cheaper price and want to hunt the wet sand, look at the older Fisher CZ machines like the cz5, cz6, cz70, etc. They are dual freq. and work great in wet sand and will out perform the ACE machines inland also....
