ACE 250 - Headphones question

Hello All, Newbie here. I just received my new Ace 250 and bought some headphones at RS that has a in line volume control. Im not getting the sound to work, Ive also tried 3 other head sets with no luck, Has any one had this before? Ive only used it once, I'd hate to have to send it back for service already

I wonder if it has to do with the Jack adapter? Mono and Stereo fittings?

Don't think I'm trying to be silly but this happened to me...when I first plugged in the headphones no sounds, the volume was turned all the way down...I had to test with something metal before they sounded off and to adjust the volume controls. I have the 250 also, a good little machine. Good luck!

Problem solved.............GOLD plated adapter fixed the problem !
