Ace 250 Mods - 1/8 & 1/4 audio, backup battery, etc.

I figured I would post some pictures of what I've been doing this weekend... Modding my Ace 250. My Ace 250 now has a back up battery supply, volume control, 1/4 and 1/8 audio plugs all nicely contained in my project box which is mounted under the forearm section of the shaft. I also wanted to show my nonintrusive solution to adding a little bit of lighting for those evening hunts. I hope you all like the modifications and big thanks to Johnnysan for giving me some pointers on how the Ace's audio is wired in a series. HH

Modifying detectors can be about as interesting as it gets.
If I ever get any of my own worthy, I may post them.

Great mods, can you give us more details on the batteries etc, and also connections? Any photo's would be great to circuits etc.... If possible

Very professional, very well done. If I manage to get the Ace 250 that I want, I will look into doing a couple of these mods as I have heard that the lack of volume control is one of the down sides to this MD. Can you reference the threads that you borrowed the ideas from?

The volume control is definitly cool but i just use headphones with volume control. I hardly ever hunt without headphones. Good job on the mods
