Friends and family come together for a nice evening of a meal and visit.
With most adults in the living room and kids of all ages presumably sequestered in another room , the conversation turns tawdry . After a while , I noticed a 5 year old standing motionless in the doorway. Thinking quickly , I addressed the child to enter the room and i , quite unsure of what he has heard , ask , to the horror of the adults , if he wants to hear an adult joke. Why,"yes" he answered. I started with "A Man Runs Into Bar...........OUCH !" .....I laughed towards the child ...... absolute silence as the room squirmed in their seats....not one of my best nights ......nope.
