After one month of detecting I finally struck gold...TWICE!

Hey all! I just recently started metal detecting. About a month in. I try to fit in a session every three days or so. I was starting to get a little discouraged, because I was detecting alot and was only getting clad, nails, and (literally) a giant trash bag full of pull tabs and beer cans. I had found one silver class ring that I'm in the process of returning still. Anyway, I had a long day and decided to stop by the park by my house. Start with the tot lot and I find this little brown bird charm. I research online, and turns out it's actually a 10k charm from charmamerica. So I'm really happy. Almost ready to call it a day. And literally on my last signal before calling it quits, I strike an AWESOME 14k wedding band. I don't have my scale with me but it's very very heavy. I'm just really excited and wanted to share with everyone! Keep on digging!

The ring is nice!!!! But, the charm is sadly not gold. It may have been plated at one time but as you can see, gold IS gold. Nice ring!!!!

Now let me get this straight.
So you've been detecting for 1 month every 3 days that figures out to be 10 times in total and you've already bagged a silver class ring and a 14K ring? Gee that's a start that many only dream about-nothing like setting the bar high.

Great ring! It does look heavy. Took me 3 years to find my gold.
I agree, the bird doesn't look to be gold, might have been plated at one point.
