aftermarket coil for Excalibur?

Been considering an aftermarket coil for my minelab excalibur. All I do is treasure beaches in florida. Question is..do coils like Coiltek? 14" DD work any better than current 8" in this application? If so, are they worth the $$$? I saw a 24" coil also...any input?

I have the 15" W.O.T. on my Sovereign at least 90% of the time. BEST INVESTMENT I EVER MADE. not only do you get extra depth, you also cover more area with each swing. & NO LOSS OF SENSITIVITY ON COIN SIZE ITEMS. ....... I am NOT a DEALER, I get NO KICKBACKS from saying this. ....... JUST AN HONEST ANSWER HERE. ........... The 24" I HAVE NO OPINION. sorry
