Afternoon everyone, so a couple days ago at a goodwill clearence center this shaver sitting by itself in one of the bins caught my eye and bought it with other items costing only $5.94 (Items are priced by weight). After later small work and getting back home I try to research how old the shaver is and couldn't find a database or exact match. Thought I could share this to see y'all's thoughts

Thanks 4 looking :occasion14:

Although based on the '1912' model, the GEM 'MICROMATIC' range first appeared in 1930. Your razor also has two 'bumps' to locate with the holes on their double edged blades, which I think didn't appear until 1932. Difficult to put an exact date on it without the box it came in.

Two quick sources I came across said that the Gem "Bullet Tip" weren't made until 1947.

One site said only in 1947-1948 ... others seem to mention in the 1950s, also.
Not sure ... but, 1947 looks legit for a possible starting date.
Needs more research.

Wish I found it in its box. Interesting insights. Thanks all for the information and happy Thanksgiving:occasion14:
