Found this spoon in the woods, and was wondering if someone might have an idea on it's age. If it's old, I'll look to donate it to the homestead museum that is a stone's throw away from where it was found. The spoon is about 7 inches long, and has these designs on the front and back. I could not find any stamping as it is corroded in the area where it probably would have been. Thanks in advance!

I cant help you with the spoon but those are the kind of finds I like :)

Pattern is called "Standard" and was made by the Standard Silverware Co. in 1883.

Thanks Nick. That is about the time frame that the site is from. I'll head to the museum when they are open to see if they want it for their collection. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a 1980's spoon, before I offered to donate it.

Excellent find,, at first glance, the design reminded me of grapefruit slices.

Nice old spoon.
