Age needed on the hatchet

I've never found a hatchet style quite like this before.
Any idea of an age? I just found a house place site that has evidence of civil war activity all the way up to 1930s stuff.

Looks like a roofing hatchet to me but just a guess from someone not very familiar with axes. I found a similar one years back and IIRC it was ID'ed as a roofing hatchet. Might even clean up with electrolysis and sanding.
