Age of a sterling aviator's pin?

Hello!

Yesterday I dug this sterling silver aviator's pin in Eugene Oregon near the University of Oregon. It is marked STERLING by Cora (see close-up picture). I pictured it along side a 1943 Merc dime that I found yesterday too!

Any idea on it's age?

THANKS!
Neil

WW2 era, "sweetheart wings" for a pilot's gal to show her patriotic support, etc.

Here is one from another site. They call it USAAF Pilot Wings from WW2.

Sterling WW2 USAAF Pilot Wings 1 3 8 inch Pinback by Coro | eBay
Well, it is actually Coro, rather than Cora (pretty easy to mis-read, and happens often). But these were not issued by the Army Air Forces for pilots' use, but Coro did make better quality sweetheart pins than some of the other manufacturers of the day, so that's a plus.
A very nice find Oddcoins! I like how both of your items are silver, have wings, and date very close if not the same.
