Age of an Olympic Pin?

Anyone know anything about Olympic pins? I dug this one today that I assume is a little older ~ it was just as deep as the wheats, Merc and War nickels in the same yard. It's about 19 mm tall and 16 mm wide. The only mark on it is an "L" with a small banner thing (see close-up pictures). Anyone know anything about this pin? How old is it?

This collectors site lists the pin as being from the 1960's.
