I was wondering if it could be related to stone masonry, age I.D. is important, I was told a stone carving done by Italian masons carved the likeness of Grant and Lee sometime around the 1880's where this was found during spare time from working on the rail road, this spot is 15 ft from the railroad. It's not there anymore,the carving... reports are that it was destroyed by flood waters but feel that is unrealistic. Boulder shows that bore holes were drilled into it possibly to remove the carvings for some reason, possibly done around 1936. masontool.webpmasontool22.webp

Looks like our old stakes that we used for trapping - to secure the trap so an animal couldn't drag it away. Interesting find.
