No not quite like that. he is looking via an ad here in the forum for a TDI Pro. I offered him one and he writes me back this long email that he is about to fly back to Croatia for a while and that he would like to invite me (I don't know the guy at all) and he would offer me the full price for the TDI or maybe some trade for his grandpas ham and olive oil and stuff. Well again I don't know the guy and it seems like a nice offer but i just want to sell the TDI and need no ham&stuff. He googles my location and suggests to meet at Frankfurt airport when he is there in 8 to 10 days to hand over the TDI in person. I agreed at first but found out that I have to leave for about 3 weeks. So communicate this to him and he said he would fly later so we could meet at the airport. Since he seems able to delay his flight for that long, I offer to send the TDI via USPS priority to him in the US. He denies and wants to meet in Frankfurt. I told him I want to sell the TDI now and not wait and that I withdraw my offer and sell the TDI elsewhere. Within minutes he writes on my two ads, which are totally unrelated to the TDI offer I made him and calls me a potential scammer. He doesn't know anything about the military and questions that I am able to use USPS from a US military base in Germany and also questions that a Veteran and retired military member has to go out of the country on a 3 week trip.
What bugs me also, this very guy who claims to have grown up in Croatia, treats me, a veteran of the Balkan war (IFOR/SFOR in the 1990's) like that. A guy that ensured he and his people can live in peace. This is wrong on so many levels. On top he has the nerve to play the investigator and wants to call the vendor I bought the TDI from a year ago and wants to call the military installation to verify we have a USPS post office. Who the hell does he think he is?
I hope this explains the whole mess a bit better and we can put this topic to rest. if he calls BBH and asks, he will find out that I got the TDI from BBH like I posted on the picture, if he calls Ramstein Air Base in Germany he will find out that there is a post office that sends ALL mail to the US by USPS and he maybe even able to wrap hin head around the fact that a retired veteran has a job that requires him to go on a TDY/deployment.
Happy Hunting
