All metal mode for the AT GOLD?

I have been using the AT GOLD in Discrim 1, iron at 34 but am really thinking about trying the All Metal Mode, I understand it requires ground balancing pretty often and all of that. The only thing that has been holding me back has been the lack of tones.. the higher pitched etc. I reckon you are forced to pay more attention to the VDI numbers as everything sounds roughly the same. One of the gains is supposed to be deeper detection, maybe that will help me to find some of the deeper coins and such that I may be missing. I know it is just a matter of doing it and taking the time to learn a different technique, I am sure in the long run it will be worth it especially when I detect for CV relics. thanks for any advice
