Amazing Fugio!

A friend and I got out to a new site yesterday, a cellar hole. Started off slow, he scored a 1796 liberty cap site. I got a bunch of buttons and by now he had gotten 4 coppers, most of which seemed pretty worn. finally after a few hours I got a real good signal near a rock where I found a Connecticut copper. My friend went up a large hill near the site and called me up, he had a good signal. He got yet another copper. I decided to start searching the hill too and moment later I got a great signal. I call him over and we dig the hole. Another copper and it was a Fugio cent! My second one! Exactly last week from then I found my first. This one was in my better condition. We had an amazing hunt.

What a great day of hunting! My friend and I had a seven copper day a few weeks back so can appreciate what a good site that is - definitely worth a return trip. Congrats on your 2nd fugio!

Thank you all! I didn't clean it at all. When I got home I noticed that it was flaking a little so I put it in a mixture a friend gave me, some mineral oil an olive oil. Yes olive oil is not the best, but what the mixture has done is kept it from drying out. It will not be cleaned or worked on at all. Very happy!
